The Role of Government in Building Infrastructure for Renewable Energy

The South Australian government is funding the electrolyzer to produce green hydrogen from a renewable energy. I think when you've got new technology, if you wait for the private sector, you'll be waiting too long. The issue is that getting the scale that's needed does take time. If you go back 20 years and you'd have mentioned photovoltaic cells to people as a considerable source of electricity for homes, they would have thought you were completely stupid. Now, it's completely accepted. That's what's going to happen with wind. That'sWhat's definitely going to happened with hydrogen. A role for government in pushing that along, I think, is very much a good thing.
