Taking Someone's Land Through Violence

As a young boy, the truer and bigger picture of my father wasn't on my radar screen. He worked on himself ragged weekend after weekend for months and years to turn our tattered and tiny home into something a bit nicer. The ancient tribal description of God as warrior is not the last word for either Judaism or Christianity. Taking someone's land through violence is simply not a gospel way of living.
