The Old English Dialect of Kent
The location of Kent made it a center for trade and immigration. It was the closest point in northern Gaul, being only about 50 miles across the channel. The Old English dialect spoken in Kent is simply known as Kentish. And that traffic probably accounts for some of the continental artifacts which are found there.
