The Risks of Morality in Social Circles
Trevor: People seem to think that they have a very naive view about morality, about moral talk. He says if humans are sort of like a mixed bag, morally speaking, we should absolutely expect in context where we're discussing morality and politics for people to engage in it for motives that are not laudable. Trevor: One of the things that emerges so clearly is that people are just so desperate to belong. You know, one of the worst things that can happen to you is to just have no social group, I say being very alone in West Texas.
