How to Survive an Interesting Transition

Jeffrey Sachs: My background goes back 13 and a half billion years ago, but we can skip some of the preamble stuff. I studied evolutionary biology in my undergraduate; then I sort of encountered Nick Bostrom for work as I was thinking about human extinction risk. And at the same time I was getting into information security. This is maybe a useful skill that I could apply towards some of this existential risk stuff. So yeah, I started working in tech and doing security engineering work.
