Mechanical Determinism - When You Don't Have the Initiative in the Strike
When you're losing, and he says, when a social movement is weak, it is often drawn to more deterministic, more mechanical versions that famous title of Castro's speech. And so he wants to distinguish between what he says is a kind of mechanical determinism of the elite, the resigned elite. On the other hand, he says, that's not enough. You can't leave people at that position of pure faith. A party that actually wants to turn people into self determining, self ruling, rulers of their own society has to raise them out of that rheified common sense - those stone age traces.
