i felt like the conservative movement was very small in certain ways, and also that, as you were getting at the mentorship and sense of initiation into an intellectual community of sorts. i think it has something to do with both the smallness and the sense of kind of acknowledging a share at history in a certain way. It does feel like the divisions in the conservative women now are as bitter and deep as they've been, at least in a long time. And implied in that is a whole ongoing set of debates that reaches back to the 19 fifties at least. I mean, you don't have to agree with the right or you can be actually disgusted by right way politics. And
