Tolkien and the Elf - Is There a Level of Gray?

Aaron Carroll: I think that's a character flaw of the elves. It seems like canonically they could not accept their brothers and sisters who had been through this horrendous experience. He says Galadriel is going to have to grapple with a similar version of, well, I vowed to hunt down Sauron. But am I doing more evil than good on the way? That's a very human thing too.
