The Psychological Appeal of Socrates to the Pyreans
Socrates is presenting them with a rationalized and apparently rationalized religion, right? It's not imperfect. You have this perfect idea of the good that's out there. The sun is like the offspring of the God. And so I think this has a deep psychological appeal that they want something perfect. it's strictly just. Greg Bear: What folks miss is what Alex was alluding to is that this is a particular image for a glaucon and an amantis.
