Clear Patra - A Story of Survival
Clear patra is 39 at the time of her death. Her teenage son and theoretical co-ruler, Caesarian, survives her by a few weeks before he is executed. Alongside Mark Antony, Clear patra is buried outside Alexandria. Though her dynasty is lost, she has afforded one victory in death when her other children's lives are spared. The Egypt she leaves is richer than the one she inherited, but it is now in the hands of the Romans. Soon Octavian will become Caesar Augustus, the first emperor of Rome. But the priesthoods of the ancient Egyptian deities and the Greek religions keep most of their temples and privileges.
