Do You Ever Talk About Spanish at Home?
As they get older, my feeling is teen aters speak a little bit less to their parents school and the things that are going on. We acquire languages naturally by listening and reading to messages that we understand. So talk about language acquisition and comprehensible input. Just really speak about it, not in a kind of condescending, patronizing way. All these conversations can happen with the parents still building that system in her head. And i talked about the fact that i askd students to translate the story into their mother tongue with their parents - particularly as beginners in years seven or eight,. These ar age of 11, 12 years old.
