The Importance of the Liturgy of a Funeral

My brother was killed in a small plane crash when I was 40, 41. And it also happened to be a time at which my parents had had a falling out they had gone to Florida for the winter. So my parents are separated and neither of them could go to the funeral. When that kind of thing happens and you don't have that fellowship with other people...it's a very tough time. It has more gravity and more import than does works of art or literature like Shakespeare.
