Wilson Pickett and Solomon Burke - The Unofficial Non Aggression Pact
Wilson pickett recorded a song for his friend solomon burke. The two men were annoyed that they'd been put into unwitting competition, and so started an unofficial non aggression pact. At this point, jerry waxter realized that he'd twice had the opportunity to valise a record with wilson picket singing. Twice he turned the chance down, and twice the record had become a hit. He realized that it was probably a good idea to sign picket directly to atlantic and avoid missing out.
