Is There a Difference Between SSRIs and SNRIs for Parkinson's?

The medicines that we use to treat anxiety and depression in the context of Parkinson's is not different than what is used for people without Parkinson's. You have to be on a special registry to even be able to prescribe it as well as a clinician. The take home points are one, when you're seeing a patient with a tremor, be sure to take careful history, careful exam. Ask for subtle signs of cognitive change or, you know, subtle signs of PD psychosis.
