The Age Pension and the Social Extra Benefit?

As it is right now, there is roughly the same amount of people on the age pension as it was before super was introduced in 96. So who is it for exactly? Right? Where is the benefit? And we know that that's hardly anyone because we know that even when the system matures in another few decades that pretty much the proportion of elderly will be roughly the same as it is now. It's essentially a irrelevant order of magnitude change. If you think about the fiscal cost of an extra 5% of people onthe age pension, you're talking about $2 billion a year,. which is essentially 0.0 some fraction of a fraction of a percent of the federal budget.
