How Did Saffron Come to the United States?

Saffron came to the united states through a family of saffron growers who were a german. There was actually a very established saffron growing collective in germany since the middle ages. And they started growing it in pennsylvania in the eighteenth in the late seventeenth and into the eighteenth century. But more largely through this atlantic trade route, the triangular trade route that went between europe and africa, the cribbian, north america, back to europe.
