Matt Bellini: I've had a Kindle for a few years now since Stephen Hackett kind of bequeathed one to me. He says he prefers reading on the Kindle, in part because there's a light so he can read in bed after Aaron is asleep. The e-ink screens are all now tuck screens and have this thin film over the screen that helps diffuse the light in like an even way,. So you don't actually really see the points of light, although the edges of the screen look a little bit brighter than the middles.
