Is There Really a Line Between Copyright and AI?

Artists can go too far by tracing and AI can overfit to training data. It produces images that are not just inspired, but almost an identical copy of the source image. But no one knows this more than AI developers because their product is to produce unique images. And if it fails, users will lose trust in their product. So whether we face it now or later, eventually industry pipelines will change. We cannot stop innovation long term, but we can control how we react to it.
