It seems like you lean into playing a villain on the show so that your drivers can perpetually be the hero. My strategy has always been to protect the drivers, to protect every single team member. If I'm getting the criticism and it's avoiding anybody else where I'm perceived as the villain then that's fine with me. You also have to remember, drive to survive is making a TV show. Sometimes you're the villain, sometimes you're the hero, and sometimes you're going to be both in the same episode. That's the way it works. The way they cut things sometimes, you know, is to create an element of drama as well. It's hard for me to gauge
