The Importance of Unconscious Bias Training

I think unconscious bias training is hygiene, but does it make a fundamental difference to your culture? I don't believe it does. We should all be aware of all our unconscious biases. Every single person has got some form ofism. And we should be aware of it. But in terms of how you transform workplace culture, unconscious bias training won't be it. It has to be much more active and much more deliberate. That involves the boardrooms of all of our organizations and all of our companies across the UK actually making sure that they widen their circle.
