The Pre-Christian Idea of Righteousness
The idea that people are righteous is a pre-Christian idea. The absence of Jesus is not there because of logic, it's because of the culture. I don't know if you saw this amazing scene from Reading Pennsylvania. A pride parade was on and there was a street preacher talking about God and condemning homosexuality. That is a guy who thinks that the gays having their day,. having their pride is more important than this guy's freedom to preach the gospel. When he was a kid, when I didn't believe in God at all, my people wouldn’t believe in God. By that means coastal, intellectual, sophisticated people who wanted to be in the arts did not believe in God
