Liberating Mindfulness - What Is It?

Sally Kohn's new book, "Liberating Mindfulness," is about liberating mindfulness. She says that the way mindfulness is being used has made it a 'happiness object' in our culture. This means people think they can find happiness by focusing on what makes them feel good and not doing other things which don't make them happy. The idea of liberation comes from her belief that we need to be able to look at ourselves as free agents rather than fixed objects.
