Investing in Real Assets

All wealth and all income ultimately comes from real assets. So the example is, i may not be able to own a an oil refinery or an oil well, but i can still buy shares in x on mobile. In this world, the only rational way to make that decision would be to say, do i value the consumption that i can get for to day's, for to day’s enditure, or do ivalue the future consumption that I can have with the investment growth?
