OTP and Concurrency
The OTP approach to organizing your system can be very confusing for people. It has a lot to do with the life cycle of running an airline or elixir system. If you're looking at reliability or really consistent startup and avoiding race conditions, we talk about concurrency in the language and in the VM. The right way to think about this is to back up a bit and say, oh, we need that available. And until we have that, we can't run.
