stand-up comedy has become more and more focused on anger to the point that it's just really at a fever pitch right now. I've also had some really profound you know moments in stand-up clubs like watching somebody bomb is up can also be like a beautiful humbling experience of commiseration. Dave Chappelle when you look at his early specials there's parts that don't hold up as well over time but then there's some parts where there's such a profound combination he's able to turn stuff on its head.
