The New Right Wants More Intervention as Social Welfarest State
Right wing populaism actually looks something like our style of the galitarian governments, because it is predicated on a tyrannical rule. What i find so revealing about the new right is that they claim to be synthesizing this more welfarest pro laborer politics but in reality are doing more culture war. To me, this is the most profoundly non materialist analysis of our neoliberal hellscape imaginable. It's not really a materilist analysis. And one of thethi is that they've embraced use of state rhetorically in a way that, at least theoretically, doesn't work.
