Are We Still in a Trade War?

The two sides are deadlocked over a set of political goals that they're trying to accomplish, right? They're trying to inflict economic costs on the other side in order to achieve some of those goals. But there's very little movement on the political goals, right? And that's going to come into focus by the end of this year, when the thase one trade deal is going set to expire and the administration will have this choice about what to do about tariffs.
