The History of American Surveillance Systems

The book is divided into four parts. The first part provides and historical and theoretical effects for understanding the development of centralized surveillance systems in the United States. Part two focuses on efforts to socialize this public into accepting previously unthinkable levels of surveillance. What sort of techniques have been employed to that effort and which do you think have been the most successful?
