I'd Go With a Single Arm Dumbbell Overhead Press for the Vertical Pole

I would probably go with weighted pushups, potentially with an extended range of motion so like feet on the ground hands elevated. With pushups which then as you get strong you can add some band resistance or some other form of resistance for the vertical press. For the hip dominant lower body exercise probably going to go with trap bar deadlifts. They're easier to learn than a barbell deadlift. That's generally going to involve scraping the shit out of your shins and wear them as a badge of pride.
