You Don't Invest for One Particular Thing, Right?

Toby: As someone who's more in the trenches than driving people's portfolios, I just have to make sense from a first principle standpoint. You don't invest for one particular thing; you invest to like in a robust manner and small fits in that robustness. Jake: Small companies either don't go public or they wait until they're bigger which is what Facebook did Facebook waited until it was a large cap before it listed. And so, you know, the VCs soak up a lot of that excess return, rather than the small cap investors.
