The Power of Design Pattern Recognition

Peck: I think my power is design pattern recognition. So many inexperienced designers think that their work needs to be original in order to be good or useful. To me, design is like a language; you must understand the structure and grammar of the language. Peck: People who try to be original and move stuff around and break the design language are losing that.
