Is the Gender Affirming Model the Way to Go?
The gender affirming model is different than the gender reparative model, which is basically conversion therapy. We're moving away from this gatekeeping method where you have to go in front of psychiatrists and kind of like prostrate yourself before them to get hormones. And I think we should be going the route of like informed consent and helping people through what is kind of a tumultuous point in their life.
