Thoreau was one of the Transcendentalists. He wrote quite a lot about nature and the natural world, right? And he wrotequite a lot about the modern world and the coming modern world. His writing is quite amazing because he could see what was coming. People were so focused on technology and money and things, things, things. But now, 150 years later, his ideas are much more extreme.
