The book we're talking about to day is gaudy night by dorothy l sayers. When did you first read it, or when did you first encounter lord peter whimsey and harriet vane? I watched the t v series from the eighties with edward pethebridge and harriet walter. And i was completely transfixed by it. But got a bad review because apparently the reader pronounced it goudy knight. Wich meamandforin as te suggestion that rits not about thee. It's not set in barcelona. If i were in oxford and it were gaudynight, would i say, gaudy knight
