Shohei Otani, $30 Million Settlement in Arbitration
Shohei Otani did not sign a contract extension this weekend. It doesn't make him easier to trade because we know he's getting paid 30 versus 40 instead of 20. The closer a player is to free agency, the less you will give up to that player unless you've tampered and guaranteed it. There's total tampering that happens. And even then, you should have waited.
