The Consequences of the Death Penalty
Maathri: The existence of the death penalty brutalizes as a society. It takes away the complete belief that we have very common things people tell us, give them a second chance. And here we are ready to take away life and not give another person a second chance or the chance that they deserve. Maathri: Our own constitutional jurisprudence indicates that the death penalty may no longer be something that our constitutional morality permits for.
