The Little House on the Prairie series author Laura Ingalls Wilder has come under fire of a sort. The Children's Division of the American Library Association has decided to remove her name from an annual award it gives out because of the way that minorities were treated in her prose. This is the kind of difficulty that we're coming up against now in our zeal to remove everything that could be even remotely offensive to anyone, he says.
