The Mid-Summer Legends

On mid-summer eve night, many stone circles of Britain and Ireland are supposed to come alive. Stonehenge is thought to have been used as both the cemetery and astronomical observatory. Other sites include Aevbru, Addington Barrow, Mabahenge, Randrick Barrow, Stanton Drew, and Templewood circles. And as well as marking these important dates, these sites also have some rather imaginative mid- summer legends attached to them.
