Outpatient Parent Therapy - I Love It!
The AHA scientific statement on antimicrobial therapy is titled "R. Brett and Butter" The authors of this particular section note that there's probably a lot more that could be said about this portion, which cracked me up. Given the duration of treatment needed for infective endocarditis, potentially given things like surgery and such, patients will hopefully be able to leave the inpatient setting. So this often presents a need for people to consider opat or outpatient parent therapy.
