Getting a 'Tenured' Professor
The whole tenured thing is problematic and this part of the process often doesn't do much to make it better or more equitable. This past summer that would be 2022 my good friend kevin and i were both asked to review the tenured portfolio of the same professor let's call him joe kevin worse in a different part of the country want to grad school together been tight ever since. We both thought the same thing we hated joe's work it was uninspiring unoriginal and just plain weak plus the students gave them awful teaching evaluations. At this point joe doesn't know if he's been granted tenure or not and thus neither do we we don't know how our assessments
