The DUP and the ERG Are Pushing for More Concessions Out of the EU
Northern Ireland Secretary Chris Heaton-Harris and the Foreign Secretary James Cleverley have a booked call late this afternoon with Maris Shefkovich, who is the Chief EU Negotiator. provisionally, if that goes well, they will be on a plane to Brussels tomorrow. And what I'm hearing is that there is one area where they're still pushing for further concessions, and that is on the European Court of Justice. But now it is about where the Conservative Party sits with itself,. This goes into the European Research Group, the ERG, who are using the DUP as a kind of pretext to say we're not happy with anything that this deal represents.
