The Theology of Jesus
There's no verse in the Bible that says he shall be called Nazarene. Matthew may have made it up. There are lots of theories about it. The most popular explanation is that he's referring to a allegedly messianic prophecy in the book of Isaiah. In Isaiah chapter 9 verse 1, we're told that David will have a successor who will succeed him on the throne and they'll come from the natsar of David, the root of David.
