In video games, there's often like dust or sparks that are flying around. These kinds of small moving objects are really important to the feel of the game and sometimes actually to the playing of the game. So when we ask the game to provide geometric motion vectors to tell us how objects are moving very precisely in order to do this reconstruction, we know that those motion vectors are not going to cover all the important objects that you see. And so getting particles correct with these reconstruction methods is challenging for a lot of reasons.
