Oliver Berkman was diagnosed with attention deficit disorder at a young age. He took medication for a long time but decided it didn't help him do the creative work that he wanted to do. Now he feels like he's been doing it just by sort of pushing himself as hard as he can and mentally standing over his own shoulder going like you didn't fucking do enough today. Oliver: There comes a point no matter what where you're late 60s or early 70s when methods of relating to your time that have served you pretty well start to be revealed as not whole story.
