The Difference Between a Membership and a Subscription

A membership is where you pay to have access, whether you use it or not. With a subscription, you get something no matter what the company has to create and ship me my magazine every month. Another very famous member chant model is from cosco which i talked about in episode. Forty seven people pay to be a member of cosco so they have the opportunity to shop there and get discounts. If you only buy one thing a month, you don't pay of a membership than someone who buys thousands of dollars worth of items every month. And this is where the membership group or subscription differs from a retainer model.
