"You cannot always have multiple conversations at the same time. Sometimes you have to have certain conversations," she says. "I consider myself like a pretty good guy and I fell on my face hard around a lot of this stuff." She adds: "It's not more important. It's connected".

Alicia Garza is an American Civil Rights organizer and writer best known for co-creating the international Black Lives Matter movement. Garza has become one of the most influential voices on the planet in a movement centered around the liberation of black people from authoritative systemic violence.
