The Unresolved Emotions of Xander and Vanessa

Vanessa cries a lot during this conversation. She says that she had initially hoped to rekindle things. It sounds like they tried to get back together off the show and then once it became clear that it wouldn't work out, they stopped talking. They both still talk a lot about how much they love each other and they want to be friends in the long run. And Vanessa says like, I love Xander so much. I will like accept whatever form our future takes. Like I know it's not going to be romantic. Then Xander cries and is like, I was afraid I would never hear that from Vanessa because I never wanted Vanessa out of my life.
