Birds Are Endothermic Heterotherms
Mammals evolved as nocturnal creatures, and so they had to have a system to keep otherwise they just froze. So they had to be able to eat, generate heat internally and then keep it at a constant body temperature. A birds are endothermic heterotherms, which means that they generate heat internally, but they can fluctuate their temperature because they can also utilize the sun. And so there are birds that can that, you know, turkey vultures can, can, can fluctuates their temperature by forty degrees.
