Is There a Difference Between Competence and Virtue?
In evolutionary terms, a moral person is simply one who pursues their ultimate genetic self interest through psychological adaptations that embody a genuine proximate concern for others. In our day dealings, like if i'm collaborating with someone onn scientific paper, the line between them being incompetent and managing their time verses being unethically careless about how they analyze the data or write it up can be very fuzzy. So i think if you go back to the ancient greeks, or even like the nician concept of kind of like master morality verse slave morality, in that perspective, competence is pretty highly correlated with morality.
