Book Review: Not Far From Brideshead Oxford Between the Wars by Daisy Dunn
I've seen a few books this year that are re-examining things, perhaps we thought we knew. I really enjoyed Judith Greens the Normans because it put them in a huge European context. The history of Jamaica's core brought a huge amount of interest in the last few years. And those rebellions go back as far as there were slaves in Jamaica. A friend of mine is an immigration judge, she was first black immigration from Jamaica. She came across a plot to bequeathed land in Jamaica by her father who didn't know why he'd done it. That would then erupt when a new history emerges and you say: "What happened here?"
